Softball Recap: Fairview Comes Up Short

If Fairview was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of North East last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corry Beavers on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Fairview dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Corry, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Fairview will face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Corry, they will challenge Girard at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.29 runs per game on average), something the Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
