The Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars will take on the Hatton/Northwood Thunder at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Griggs County Central/Midkota's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hatton/Northwood has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Griggs County Central/Midkota duked it out withNorth Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] on Saturday. Griggs County Central/Midkota came out on top against North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] by a score of 60-52.

Meanwhile, Hatton/Northwood took a blow against North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] on Saturday, falling 80-52. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Eagles are ranked 33rd).

Hatton/Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Griggs County Central/Midkota, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
