Soccer Recap: Merced Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Merced's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Golden Valley Cougars. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Cougars back in January, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Alexander Castaneda and Raymond Gonzalez scored both of Merced's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.
