Volleyball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

Exeter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the El Diamante Miners. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Miners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

While Exeter had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.

Exeter's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for El Diamante, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Exeter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Monache on the 28th. As for El Diamante, they will take on Hanford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
