Softball Game Preview: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Greenwood Gators

The Choctawhatchee Indians will challenge the Greenwood Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Choctawhatchee has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Choctawhatchee fell victim to Navarre and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 11-0. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

11 must be Greenwood's lucky number: they beat Fort Walton Beach with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Gators were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Vikings. Considering the Gators have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Greenwood and bumps their season record up to 11-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Choctawhatchee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
