Basketball Game Preview: Moorhead Spuds vs. Southwest Christian Stars

The Moorhead Spuds are taking a road trip to face off against the Southwest Christian Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Moorhead's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Tuesday, Moorhead didn't have too much trouble with Sheyenne as they won 76-61.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Southwest Christian, as they earned their first road win of the season. They snuck past Jefferson with a 60-54 win on Tuesday.

Moorhead has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Southwest Christian, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Moorhead came up short against Southwest Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 80-67. Can Moorhead avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
