Soccer Recap: Hough Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Hough won the last time they faced Hopewell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Huskies never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Hough's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Hopewell are ranked 98th).

Ava Hauser and Sydney Treanor scored both of Hough's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Hough pushed their record up to 22-0-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six matchups. As for Hopewell, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 16-6-2 record.

Coming up, Hough will face off against Hickory Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Hough 0.2, Hickory Ridge 0.5) so any goals scored will be well earned. Hopewell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
