Baseball Recap: George-Little Rock Comes Up Short

George-Little Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Akron-Westfield Westerners. Even if the Mustangs couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

George-Little Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Akron-Westfield, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

George-Little Rock has already played their next contest, a 9-3 win against Alta-Aurelia on the 5th. As for Akron-Westfield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 victory against Gehlen Catholic on the 3rd.
