Basketball Game Preview: Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers vs. Gatewood Gators

Two dominant guards in Brayden Emory and Matt Allen are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers are taking a road trip to face off against the Gatewood Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Central Fellowship Christian Academy comes in on eight and Gatewood on four.

On Friday, Central Fellowship Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Trinity Christian as they won 81-67. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Crusaders are ranked 540th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Gatewood beat Brentwood 77-70 on Friday.

Gatewood's win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points per game. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Gatewood when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 71-59. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Allen, who went 14 of 27 en route to 37 points and seven boards.
