Chestnut Ridge and Everett squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Chestnut Ridge had to settle for second. They fell 6-2 to the Warriors. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.
Justin Whysong was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run.
