Basketball Recap: Hug Comes Up Short

If Hug was riding high fresh off their 68-40 takedown of Sage Ridge last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between the Hug Hawks and the Churchill County Greenwave didn't end well, with the Hug Hawks falling 83-65. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greenwave apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Hug has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Churchill County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Hug won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dayton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Churchill County, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Sparks at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
