Softball Recap: Monroe Township Comes Up Short

Monroe Township fell victim to Spotswood and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Chargers. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Monroe Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Ventura, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Monroe Township's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Spotswood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Monroe Township will be playing in front of their home fans against Hunterdon Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Red Devils have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Spotswood, they will head out on the road to square off against Raritan at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
