Volleyball Recap: Pacific Ridge Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against La Jolla Country Day, Pacific Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Classical Academy Caimans. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Caimans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pacific Ridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.

Simone Hobbs paced Pacific Ridge's offense, picking up 24 kills. Hobbs got some help from Calista Lowery and her 52 assists. Lowery was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Pacific Ridge back to even at 10-10. As for Classical Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 18-7 record.

Pacific Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Maranatha Christian on the 9th. As for Classical Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against St. Joseph Academy on the 8th.
