Basketball Recap: Benson Tech Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

Benson Tech won the last time they faced Nelson and things went their way on Friday too. The Benson Tech Techmen walked away with a 56-45 victory over Nelson. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Techmen.

Benson Tech pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Nelson, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benson Tech will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McDaniel at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Nelson also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against West Salem at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
