Softball Recap: Royal Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Royal came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Naches Valley Rangers. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

Jill Allred made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Emerson Eilers was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lily Delarosa, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Royal kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive contests.

Royal's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Naches Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

As of now, neither Royal nor the Rangers have any future games scheduled.
