Basketball Recap: Celina Comes Up Short

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Celina was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Decatur Eagles, falling 102-21. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-7.

Decatur's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Style Brazile, who went 7 for 8 on her way to 17 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Brazile's afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayler Peck, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Celina and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Decatur, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-3.

Celina didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-46 defeat against Panther Creek on the 3rd. As for Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 90-13 victory against Eagle Mountain on the 3rd.
