Basketball Game Preview: Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles vs. Carter Cowboys

Wilmer-Hutchins is 2-8 against Carter since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles will take on the Carter Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. Wilmer-Hutchins will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Wilmer-Hutchins will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Pinkston, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Wilmer-Hutchins walked away with a 40-30 win over Pinkston on Friday.

Meanwhile, Carter played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Lincoln 69-10. The Cowboys were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-5.

Wilmer-Hutchins' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Carter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Wilmer-Hutchins was able to grind out a solid win over Carter in their previous meeting on January 3rd, winning 49-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilmer-Hutchins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
