Soccer Recap: Palma Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Palma had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Anzar Hawks with a sharp 10-1 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 8-0.

Palma's offense was hitting Anzar from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Gigi Richert led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Anzar's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Palma has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Morro Bay on the 5th. As for Anzar, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Everett Alvarez at 5:45 p.m. on the 16th.
