Volleyball Recap: Trego Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trego can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sterling Black Bears by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured ten defeats in a row.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Trego sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 28-26, 18-25, 25-14.

Bailey Ziegler paced Trego's offense, picking up six kills. Ziegler got some help from Maura Albers and her nine assists. Cambrey Klitzke controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Trego's loss dropped their record down to 11-24. As for Sterling, with the victory, they broke their nine-match losing streak and moved their record to 15-19.

As of now, neither Trego nor the Black Bears have any future games scheduled.
