Upper Lake hadn't done well against Fort Bragg recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Timberwolves. The Cougars were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Timberwolves, so the Cougars were just returning the favor.

Aimee Schaefers paced Upper Lake's offense, picking up six kills. Schaefers got some help from Camila Martin and her ten assists. Finally, Schaefers was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Upper Lake has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Upper Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Clear Lake on the 22nd. Hopefully Fort Bragg paid attention to the Cougars' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
