East Lyme entered their tilt with Amity Regional on Saturday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

East Lyme's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Amity Regional, their loss ended a 15-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.

East Lyme and Amity Regional should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings. The Vikings will challenge Norwich Free Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (3 vs. 28). Meanwhile, Amity Regional (ranked ninth) will meet Hand (ranked 71st) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
