Basketball Game Preview: Northside Eagles vs. Veterans Warhawks

Northside hasn't had much luck against Veterans recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Northside Eagles will welcome the Veterans Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Northside is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Coffee by a score of 69-56 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Veterans was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 67-62 to Thomas County Central.

Northside now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Veterans, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9.

Northside ended up a good deal behind Veterans in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, losing 82-63. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Veterans' Tristen Abner, who almost dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 19 boards, and nine assists.
