Football Recap: Brandeis' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Brandeis came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Steele Knights, falling 42-22. The loss continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Although Brandeis took the loss, they still got scores from Jaron Morris and Wynter Smith.

Jonathan Hatton was nothing short of spectacular for Steele: he rushed for 147 yards and four TDs. Hatton is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 122 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Jones, who rushed for 63 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Brandeis fell to 2-1. As for Steele, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

After each having a week off, Brandeis and Johnson will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th. This will be the Broncos' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Steele, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-14 defeat against Westlake on the 19th.
