Preview: Tri City Prep Panthers vs. Orme Warriors
Tri City Prep is 1-6 against Orme since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Tri City Prep Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Orme Warriors at 4:00 p.m.
Tri City Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Thursday. Their tough 44-19 loss to Wickenburg Christian Academy might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tri City Prep has scored all season.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Orme's strategy against Leupp Boarding on Thursday. Orme took down Leupp Boarding 45-29. The win was nothing new for Orme as they're now sitting on four straight.
Orme can attribute much of their success to Preston Tisi, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tisi has scored all season. Another player making a difference was John Collins, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Tri City Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Orme, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.
Tri City Prep suffered a grim 61-40 defeat to Orme when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Tri City Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
