Volleyball Recap: The Prairie School Hawks vs. St. Joseph Lancers
After flying high against Racine Horlick on Tuesday, The Prairie School came back down to earth. The Hawks fell 3-1 to the St. Joseph Lancers on Thursday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
While The Prairie School ultimately came up short, they really made St. Joseph work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18, 24-26, 25-13.
Addison Zaleski paced The Prairie School's offense, picking up 12 kills. Zaleski got some help from Emmaleigh Meier and her 35 assists. Brailey Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
The Prairie School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for St. Joseph, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
The Prairie School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hortonville on the 13th. As for St. Joseph, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Johnson Creek on the 13th.
