Softball Recap: Cloverdale's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cloverdale won the last time they faced Credo and things went their way on Friday too. Cloverdale was the clear victor by a 15-1 margin over Credo. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three matchups by 14 runs or more so far this season.

Camryn Bird was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emerson Reasoner, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Camryn Donahoo, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Cloverdale hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Credo struck out 11 times.

The victory keeps Cloverdale at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.3 runs this season. As for Credo, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Cloverdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against St. Bernard's on the 15th. As for Credo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 defeat against University on the 15th.
