Softball Recap: Fresno Comes Up Short

Fresno came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Roosevelt Rough Riders, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Fresno saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Rodriguez, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Fresno's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Roosevelt, they pushed their record up to 11-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fresno will head out to face off against Madera South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.12 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Roosevelt, they will venture away from home to take on San Joaquin Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rough Riders are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
