It was a good run, but Batesville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2. If the Pioneers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Golden Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Batesville's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Greene County Tech, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Batesville will challenge rival West Memphis at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. Meanwhile, Greene County Tech is set to square off against their familiar foe Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
