Merritt Island came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors by a score of 2-0.

Ema Michell paced Merritt Island's offense, picking up seven kills. Michell were helped by Amber Ives and Annabelle Jones, who contributed nine assists each. Michell and Ives didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Merritt Island's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
