Recap: St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles vs. Briarcrest Christian Saints
The St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles suffered their biggest loss since November 21, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 61-31 defeat at the hands of Briarcrest Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss St. Benedict at Auburndale has suffered against Briarcrest Christian since January 5, 2021.
It was another big night for Hallie Turner, who scored 12 points along with three steals for Briarcrest Christian. Another player making a difference was Molly Mcgee, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for St. Benedict at Auburndale and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Briarcrest Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Benedict at Auburndale will take on Harding Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Briarcrest Christian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Bartlett is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
