Soccer Recap: Hillsborough Wins Going Away Against Plant City

Hillsborough's and Plant City's match on Friday was close at halftime, but Hillsborough turned on the heat in the second half with three goals. The Hillsborough Terriers were the clear victor by a 5-2 margin over the Plant City Raiders. The high-scoring effort was just what the Terriers needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

They hit Plant City with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cristian Melgar (2), Smerly Laguerre, Boden Parra, and Abraham Noguera.

Hillsborough's record now sits at 6-3-2. As for Plant City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Hillsborough wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-2 loss against Alonso on the 14th. As for Plant City, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Jefferson on the 14th.
