Volleyball Game Preview: Marmion Cadets vs. West Aurora Blackhawks

The Marmion Cadets will take on the West Aurora Blackhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Marmion didn't have quite enough to beat St. Charles East and fell 2-1. The Cadets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Marmion sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-19, 17-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, West Aurora didn't have quite enough to beat South Elgin on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, West Aurora sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 27-25.

West Aurora's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Marmion, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
