Softball Recap: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Mesquite Wildcats
Mountain Pointe never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mesquite on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over the Mesquite Wildcats.
Samallia Perez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Perez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Mountain Pointe got a big performance out of Leilani Chavez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. JoJo Castillo was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
