Softball Recap: Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars vs. Rush City Tigers
Hinckley-Finlayson had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 6-7 to make it five. They lost 11-0 to the Rush City Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
As for Rush City, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.
For Rush City's part, Kendal Pillar was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Addy Antonson was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Hinckley-Finlayson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rush City, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ogilvie at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
