Baseball Game Preview: Dickinson Rams vs. Wilmington Friends Quakers

Dickinson is 0-5 against Wilmington Friends since May of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. Dickinson will welcome Wilmington Friends at 4:00 p.m. Wilmington Friends took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Dickinson, who comes in off a win.

Dickinson will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Newark, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Dickinson walked away with a 6-2 win over Newark on Saturday.

Joseph Quigley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Quigley was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Asante Jones was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Adrian Ward, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Wilmington Friends suffered their biggest loss since May 4, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Polytech, falling 15-2. The Quakers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Wilmington Friends saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Kwoka, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Dickinson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wilmington Friends, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
