Baseball Game Preview: Otto-Eldred Terrors vs. Port Allegany Gators

Otto-Eldred is 2-8 against Port Allegany since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Terrors will venture away from home to challenge the Gators at 4:30 p.m. Otto-Eldred is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Bolivar-Richburg hit Otto-Eldred with a four-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Terrors fell 7-2 to the Wolverines. The Terrors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon Francis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Otto-Eldred is 2-1 when Francis posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise.

Bolivar-Richburg typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Port Allegany proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Wolverines 8-6. The game was the first time the Gators have beaten the Wolverines on their field since April 28, 2015.

The win made it two in a row for Port Allegany and bumps their season record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Otto-Eldred, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Otto-Eldred came up short against Port Allegany when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 5-1. Can the Terrors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
