On the hitting side, Cathedral Prep let Addison Baldi and Kendyll Steves run wild. Baldi scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4, while Steves went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Baldi a new career-high. In other batting news, Leah McGill was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Mackenzie Brauen was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Saegertown pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Cathedral Prep, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
