Juniata Valley falls despite strong effort from Connor Robinson

Recap: Juniata Valley Hornets vs. Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils

The Juniata Valley Hornets suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. Their rough 77-54 defeat to Bellwood-Antis might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Juniata Valley has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Juniata Valley still got an impressive performance from Connor Robinson, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. Robinson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Chris Deihl was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Anthony Caracciolo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bellwood-Antis, going 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Caracciolo has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chance Schreier, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and six assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Juniata Valley and nudges their season record down to 9-4. As for Bellwood-Antis, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.

Juniata Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellwood-Antis, they will head out on the road to take on Williamsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Williamsburg's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Bellwood-Antis has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
