Frenship is 10-0 against Midland Legacy since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Frenship Tigers will square off against the Midland Legacy Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Frenship knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 games -- so hopefully Midland Legacy likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Frenship humbled Midland with a 72-18 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 872nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Midland Legacy suffered their biggest defeat since February 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 64-38 to Permian. The match marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Frenship will have to contain Diego Rodriguez as he made an impact in Midland Legacy's last game. He almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Rodriguez has posted since back in January of 2024. Tristine Turner was another key player, putting up two points along with 13 boards and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Midland Legacy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Frenship pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38 points. As for Midland Legacy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

Frenship took their victory against Midland Legacy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 81-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frenship since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
