Soccer Game Preview: Herndon vs. Wakefield

Herndon is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wakefield Warriors at 7:15 p.m. Herndon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Thursday, neither Herndon nor South Lakes could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Wakefield hadn't done well against Justice recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Wakefield's defense stepped up to hand Justice a 2-0 shutout.

Herndon's draw gives them a new season record of 1-1-2. As for Wakefield, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Herndon beat Wakefield by a goal in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 2-1. Will Herndon repeat their success, or does Wakefield has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
