Mendota has gone 10-0 against Firebaugh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mendota Aztecs will head out on the road to challenge the Firebaugh Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Mendota is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

Mendota is headed into the contest having not lost since December 23 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Avenal onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. Wilberto Amador was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Dos Palos, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1036th, while the Broncos are ranked 232nd).

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 6-16-1. As for Mendota, they pushed their record up to 13-3-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Mendota came out on top in a nail-biter against Firebaugh in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Does Mendota have another victory up their sleeve, or will Firebaugh turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
