Softball Recap: Canoga Park Takes a Loss

Canoga Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Monroe Vikings, falling 20-12. Even if the Hunters couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Canoga Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Monroe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canoga Park will challenge Reseda at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monroe, they will square off against Sylmar at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
