Baseball Game Preview: Paris Coyotes vs. Knox County Eagles

The Paris Coyotes will head out on the road to take on the Knox County Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Knox County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Paris, who comes in off a win.

Paris made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mark Twain, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Coyotes blew past the Tigers 16-6 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Coyotes considering their two-run performance the game before.

Meanwhile, Knox County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to Salisbury. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

The win got Paris back to even at 2-2. As for Knox County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Paris beat Knox County 12-9 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
