Football Game Preview: St. Dominic Crusaders vs. MICDS Rams

St. Dominic hasn't had much luck against MICDS recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Crusaders will take on the Rams at 1:00 p.m. St. Dominic is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

St. Dominic is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Rolla: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Crusaders blew the Bulldogs out of the water with a 38-7 final score. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask MICDS). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-21 victory over Lutheran South. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

MICDS now has a winning record of 4-3. As for St. Dominic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

St. Dominic was taken down by MICDS 42-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Crusaders, Brian Gould (who rushed for 92 yards and three TDs on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
