Soccer Recap: Fort Zumwalt South Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Fort Zumwalt South has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Zumwalt East Lions. While losing is never fun, Fort Zumwalt South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Fort Zumwalt East are ranked fifth).

Fort Zumwalt South's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Fort Zumwalt East, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Coincidentally, Fort Zumwalt South and Fort Zumwalt East will both be playing Rockwood Summit the next time they take the pitch. The Lions will head out to face the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
