Kansas City East Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Veritas Christian 1-0. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by just one run.

Not much got past Robert Carpenter, who gave up just a hit to keep Veritas Christian off the board. Carpenter has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Barstow might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Pembroke Hill who claimed the real prize. The Knights lost 22-4 to the Raiders. The Knights have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

The win made it two in a row for Kansas City East Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Barstow, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
