After a string of three wins, Winchester Thurston's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 76-59 fall against Bishop Canevin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Winchester Thurston in their matchups with Bishop Canevin: they've now lost three in a row.

Jason Cross Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bishop Canevin, scoring 20 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. That's the first time this season that Cross Jr posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Drew Allen, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

Winchester Thurston's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Bishop Canevin, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winchester Thurston will play host again and welcome Westinghouse, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Canevin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Neighborhood Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Neighborhood Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
