Preview: Middle Creek vs. Apex
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Middle Creek. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Apex at 7:00 PM. Middle Creek will be strutting in after a victory while Apex will be stumbling in from a loss.
Middle Creek got themselves on the board against Apex Friendship last Friday, but Apex Friendship never followed suit. Middle Creek took the matchup and then some with a 37-0 win over Apex Friendship. No one put up better numbers for Middle Creek than junior Sean Brown, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Apex, and their match on Monday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They took a serious blow against Fuquay - Varina, falling 0-56.
Middle Creek simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Apex 41-6. Will Middle Creek repeat their success, or does Apex have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
