Basketball Recap: Tri Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

There's no place like home for Tri, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Union County Patriots 54-40 on Friday. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Union County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Fenton Coyle, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards gave Coyle a new career-high. Grady Coyle was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Tri's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Union County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Tri wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-44 loss against Edinburgh on the 25th. Union County has also already played their next matchup, a 58-30 victory against Southwestern on the 25th.
