Basketball Recap: Hallah Peone Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

Lakeside won the last time they faced Wallace and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lakeside Knights managed a 66-60 win over the Wallace Miners. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Lakeside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hallah Peone, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 24 points along with eight boards and five assists. Peone's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston SpottedHorse, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points and five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Wallace lost, don't look at Julian Davis. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cooper Miller, who posted 16 points.

Lakeside's record now sits at 4-1. As for Wallace, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Lakeside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-42 victory against Post Falls on the 16th. Wallace will take on Timberlake in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
